Managing Gifts FAQs

What do we need to do when someone buys a gift?

Once someone purchases a symbolic gift on your site, you need to send them a gift card for each item that they purchased. They can then write a personal note in the card and give it to the intended recipient. Once you have signed up for your online catalogue and provided all your material, we will customize each of the cards with your logo and organizational information. We will then send you PDF files that you can print to card stock so they will be available to send to your customers. If you are a registered charity you would also supply a charitable receipt.

How do we track our customers’ purchases and make sure they get the right gift card?

You will receive an email everytime someone makes a purchase from your online catalogue. You will also be provided with a login to a secure area where you can manage the orders you receive. There you can see orders that are paid for via PayPal and orders that are pending the arrival of a cheque. You will also be able to see which gift card your customer would like to receive as they will have selected it at the time they placed the order.

What kinds of cards are available?

We have created eight cards to choose from which we hope will be suitable for any occasion:

  • Birthday
  • Christmas
  • Holiday
  • Mother’s Day
  • Father’s Day
  • Memorial/Sympathy
  • Special Occasion
  • All Occasion

Each card will be customized with your logo and a brief synopsis of your organization. To view examples of the cards, please go to our demo site.

Can we change the photos on some of the gift cards?

We have tried to select photos for the gift cards that can be used by many different types of organizations so that we can keep the cost of the service as low as possible. However, we do recognize that some organizations would like to provide photos that are more reflective of the work they do or their community in general. So yes, you can change the photos for any of the cards for an additional surcharge of $5 per card. You will need to provide the photos for the cards and they need to meet the following specifications:

  • 300 dpi
  • minimum of 1500px wide by 2400 px high
  • you must have permission to use and distribute the photo in print and web media
